The best course of action is to talk to a professional to see if anything can be done to improve your insulation and/or ventilation (we can help you with both) to prevent the dams, but if you’re already in the situation of needing ice dams removed power steaming is the proven safe way to do so. This method works for ice removal not only on roofs, but sidewalks, parking lots, and more. If you have treacherous ice build up causing an unsafe environment, we will remove the ice down to the concrete with our non-invasive power steamer and apply salt to help prevent the situation from occurring again.
